Japan Society of Erosion Control Engineering was founded in 1951, the number of members is 3000 over today. This society has the purpose to activate the research of Sabo (Erosion Control Engineering), sediment disaster prevention, land conservation and safety of nations, promote its progress. This society conducts such activities as meetings (May), symposiums (October), publication of bulletins (every other month) and other books.
